APHRODISIAS
It is a small ancient Greek city in the historic Caria, cultural region of western Anatolia named after Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Aphrodisias is known for monumental sites from the Roman era, including a sculpture school, a theater and an ancient temple. It is famous for the Temple of Aphrodite, which dates back to the third century B.C. and was built one century before the ancient city itself.
The ancient city of Aphrodisias was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List in 2017 .
